Dutch Register Sailing Heritage

(Register Varend Erfgoed Nederland, RVEN)

The Dutch Register for Sailing Heritage (RVEN) is managed by the Dutch Federation of Sailing Heritage (FVEN). Around thirty years ago, several preservation organisations, affiliated with the Dutch Federation of Sailing Heritage, started the registration of traditional craft. It is estimated that more than sixthousand vessels belong to his inheritance.

Until 2020 the details of vessels were registered by the FVEN. That has been changed. The most recent data are now compiled and supplied by affiliated preservation organisations and maritime museums. At this  moment there are 18 organisations which keep data up to date for this central register. This is all done by volunteers.

Is your ship also included in this register and do you have any additions or questions or would you like to register? That is possible via the preservation organisations. Please refer to this page for contact details.
